As today is Chap Goh Mei and also Thaipusam, the streets were crowded, especially those near Indian temples. We had lunch today at Fong Wei Heong Restaurant, courtesy of mum. Chap Goh Mei is a time when spinsters will throw mandarin oranges into the sea with their names written on the fruits. It is hoped to bait and get an eligible husband or wife. This day is akin to Chinese Valentine's day.
