Enhanced External Counter Pulsation (EECP), The Best Heart Therapy.

What Is EECP?

Enhanced External Counter Pulsation (EECP) is performed as a non-invasive treatment to lower the number and intensity of angina episodes. Treatment is administered through three pairs of external inflatable cuffs that are applied around the lower legs, upper legs, and buttocks. These cuffs continuously inflate and deflate between the resting period of the heartbeat and increase blood returned to the heart.

EECP treatment originated in China where it has been extensively used since the 1960s. In the past 10 years, it has been introduced to the United States, where there are currently around 1200 machines in operation. The idea for EECP stemmed from the development of the intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP). IABP resulted in increasing the amount of blood that can get pumped out of the heart by inflating a balloon in the aorta between each heartbeat. Opening up the aorta allows more blood flow and therefore decreases how hard the heart has to work. This same theory is applied to EECP but is taken one step further. EECP increases the amount of blood going back to the heart, providing more blood for the heart to work with. This also decreases how hard the heart has to work but on a much greater scale, especially for people with damaged heart tissue.

Patients who should not undergo EECP include those with:

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
Congenital heart disease
Valvular disease
Enlarged heart
Pacemaker
Hemorrhage
Atrial fibrillation (Afib)
Pulmonary hypertension
A clot in their body
Peripheral artery disease (PAD), also called peripheral vascular disease (PVD)
Severely elevated blood pressure
Heart rate greater than 120 beats per minute

What Are the Benefits of EECP Treatment?

Increased oxygen supply for the heart
Decrease in chest pain
Improved EKG response to exercise
Decrease in nitroglycerin use
Increase in energy
Increased exercise duration
Long term effects up to 2 years

[Video] Admitted to a Private Hospital

I was admitted to Gleneagles Hospital recently from 13th April 2021 till 18th April 2021 for a procedure done to save my life. Thanks to the doctors involved in the surgery.

Dear women, gals, and ladies,

If you are bleeding for 2-3 weeks continuously, please see a gynecologist immediately so as not to get anemia, headaches, etc. Some knowledge can save your life. Call up a hospital to make an appointment immediately. Don't linger and wait for too long before you FAINT, either at work or at home!

An ultrasound scan, plus D&C, biopsy with lab tests found fibroids and polyps in the uterine lining with some precancer stage 1 cells in my endometrium and uterus.

So, the solution is to have a hysterectomy or removal of the entire womb (uterus) which includes vertical or horizontal incision to the stomach below the navel button.

This procedure took 2 hours and paid for by my insurance with co-insurance paid by me at 10%.

Money Talks : Transforming and restructuring healthcare to save cost – does it work?

The often given reason to transform and re-structure is money. It is often said that we are spending too much on health (3.6% of GDP in 2007 and 7% of total country expenditure). So we must cut down. For some reason, the rationale for this escapes me. We are hoping to spend even less and hoping to get better or equivalent healthcare. In others words, we wish to live longer and better while cutting down expenditure. I suppose the only way is to cut down the “leakages” in the system.

Anyway, the Government is looking at cutting down healthcare expenditure, saying that it can no longer afford to spend so much on healthcare. It is almost universal that when governments look to save healthcare cost, they turn to organisations to manage medical care for an agreed sum of money. So the government will set aside a certain amount of money (let’s say RM30bil), and ask the business managers to control healthcare spending.

What is the worldwide experience with SHIO?

In one simple word, BAD. In the US, some MCOs have, after collecting the money, defaulted and declared bankruptcy. MCOs have not done much good in the US. They are about to reform to come nearer to our system, if politics allow, with a public option. The UK-NHS system is full of shortcomings. There is still a waiting-list. Ask Singapore’s Minister Mentor about his experience when his wife fell ill in UK. That is why many from the UK and US come over to Thailand, India, South Africa, Singapore, and some to Malaysia, to get healthcare (medical tourism).
