Ruby Programming - Youtube Tutorial
I bought a book on Ruby and it was designed by a Japanese to make coding fun and easier, with shorter codes as compared to Java. Ruby is useful for Shopify stores and you don't need to create icons, etc as in website development. The game is more competitive with siblings where one of them is a professional graphic designer, while the other is a professional coder with backend database experience. Ruby on Rails is pretty popular and I shall take my own sweet time to digest the many codes and syntax of Ruby. Eventually, I hope to be good enough to work on Freelancer or Upwork and earn much more.

Earning Some Allowances at Home
I may have a full-time job to work in a home office, but nevertheless, I still moonlight part-time by blogging, completing surveys and doing micro-jobs. These are within my area of expertise and easy peasy. But don't ask me to do coding or debugging and such. You see, I am a very confused programmer and will create bugs and cannot link the logic. It is all unfamiliar territory for me. Today, I gave mum RM 900 for the household expenditure; RM 500 for her own expenses while RM 400 is to help the youngest sis to pay for the utilities, petrol, Astro, etc. Being the only parent left where I inherited my DNA, I should honor my mum, regardless of what happened in the past. As the Bible states, 'Honor your parents, then your life will be prolonged.'

Make Money Through Surveys
I have earned a part-time income from Toluna and if you would like to join, here is my referral link >> https://enmy.toluna.com/referral/philin135 It is not much, but about RM 20 a month, which to me, something is better than nothing at all. You also need to be active and participate in surveys. This is the most paying survey for me as compared to others which will take a very long time to hit the minimum benchmark to withdraw. And if you are lucky, you will get the 1,000,000 points daily lottery which amounts to slightly more than RM 1,200.00 It pays to be diligent and post interesting pictures, encouragements, etc.

Earning Online Feels So Good
While having a full-time job, I also moonlight part-time to earn online on my own merit. I feel confident that I am able to earn a little allowance here and there for my retirement in years to come. I don't have to resort to stealing or rummaging other people's handbags for cash, unlike my former sneaky, bold and brazen maid from Indonesia. It is a relief to all of us that she left and mum no longer suffers diarrhea due to stress from the maid. 1 week before she left, mum's diarrhea stopped completely and she was healed. We are so relieved to hear this. Also due to Forteo injections on the stomach, mum's osteoporosis became osteopenia which is a sign of bone density improvement. The Forteo costs $1,600 a month and mum wants to take for 4 months in order to get a month's supply for free. This is paid by late dad's pension given to mum.

Made some cash online

Above is some of the many payments that I had received this year since I joined a survey program and fill up the answers in my free time. The payments are usually quite prompt and I get around RM 50 monthly or thereabouts. More or less. I may spend a lot but I also love to make money bit by bit doing surveys and micro-jobs. The sky is the limit and since I hated coding right from the start, I rather write to earn an income on a part-time basis. As you know, my English is not perfect; but nevertheless, it has earned me some cash in US dollars in the past. I guess it is a blessing to be able to earn from home with the benefits similar to that of an MNC in Bayan Lepas. And the salary also commensurates with a manager in a factory. I guess this is God's blessings upon my humble life, a simple girl living in a complex world.

Poor Dad - departed heartbroken
View this post on InstagramLate dad, having his walking exercise, 1 week before his departure at IJN. 😓
A post shared by DTan (@philin135) on
The above video was taken exactly 1 week before dad's 5th heart attack that took away his life. We were all so optimistic for his scheduled operation at IJN (institute Jantung Negara) and made him walk so that he can be independent again. but little did we know that he also died due to being heartbroken. Well, just 1 week before his trip from Penang to KL, he and mum had a big fight since he accused mum of having an affair and never believed that HIS SISTER was the culprit, having an affair with a married man. That someone who told him ought to be shot! Here is a sick man with 6 diseases, staying in a nursing home that we paid for monthly, and feeling abandoned and mistreated at times, believed it was mum who had the affair when she went to Glory Days to give him his fruits.
Well, since he was not permitted to go back home, I guess he in his senility, had the wrong impression and idea that his wife is cheating on him, which was totally untrue. Dad gave up the will to live since he apparently felt that he was a burden to us and his favorite daughter, did not come out to take care of him in the final leg of his scheduled surgery. Karen has many times told him, "Daddy, I will take care of you in your old age!" But the reality is that she flew to England to do her Ph.D. that lasted 5 years from 3 years. Never promise your parent if you could not fulfill his last wishes to see his favorite daughter by his side at his dying bed. Days before his death, dad was choosing the words of his obituary from a newspaper and wanted the same words to be printed.

Maid Finally Left
It was a huge relief that Yati finally left us for good and never to return again. She did a lot of mistakes, either on purpose or otherwise. For instance, she used the detergent to wipe the wall and caused wiping marks to be seen with the paints being wiped away. She also did something to my bathroom door to cause it to creak a loud sound. In the first few days, she detached the dustbin from the door and removed the cover. Well, this girl certainly has very itchy hands and fingers to bring down the property of someone's expensive 3,000 sq ft condo in Quayside, a premier place where many expats retire. Out of her anger, she also broke the glass door by hitting it and created the crack lines. It is very apparent, she wants to show who is the boss here in this unit. She also holds a sharp knife from the kitchen frequently!!!
